Aus vs NZ 2nd ODI: Australia won by 4 wickets
WELLINGTON: Australia has won the 2nd One Day International (ODI) match of five match series against New Zealand after a nail biting contets by 4 wickets and leveled the series 1-1 at Westpac Stadium, Wellington.
At one stage Australia lost their concentration after getting such a classy opening stand but wickets fell in quick succession but Australia has made it through courtesy to Mitchel Marsh and Hastings fight back in the end.
Warner played wonderful for his 98 but unfortunately he was unable to cross three figure mark, it was a bad luck for him.
Mitch Marsh and John Hastings scored unbeaten 69 and 48 runs respectively, Australia chased down the target with 21 balls in pocket.
Santner took three wickets from Kiwis side where Henry took back to back wickets of Steve Smith and George Bailey.
Earlier, New Zealand after winning the toss chose to bat first and put 281 runs for loss of 9 wickets on board courtesy to Kane Williamson’s 60 and Santner’s 45 at the end of the innings.
Josh Hazlewood took wickets while Boland, Mitchell Marsh and Zampa took wickets each.
