Pacer Felicity Leydon-Davis picked up a five-for on ODI debut to scuttle West Indies Women out for 114 and help New Zealand Women complete a 3-0 series win.
West Indies had a shaky start to the 222-run chase as they lost opener Shaquana Quintyne in the fourth over. New Zealand's control was cemented between the 15th and 28th overs when the visitors lost seven wickets for 35 runs, going from 45 for 1 to 80 for 8. Three of those wickets were picked up by Leydon-Davis, who removed the West Indies top-order, including their captain Merissa Aguilleira, while Nicola Browne accounted for Shanel Daley and Stafanie Taylor.
A 42-run ninth-wicket stand between Tremayne Smartt and Vanessa Watts pushed West Indies past 100 before Leydon-Davis returned to dismiss both batters in successive overs.
Earlier, New Zealand, who won the toss and opted to bat, were restricted to 221 for 8. The top and middle order all made starts and strung together a few partnerships, but the lack of a big stand or an individual innings hurt them. Rachel Priest's 40-ball 57 helped the side put on quick runs and boost their total past 200 after they were struggling at 90 for 4 in the 25th over.
