India - 178/4 (20 overs)
England -158/6 (20 overs)
Ind won by 20 runs
India have done well to gain some momentum before their first match against Pakistan. The batting was led by Kohli and Raina, both got fifties and helped India post a big total on the board. The spinners bowled well and controlled the game after England got off to a solid start. There are still certain areas of concern for India. The openers once again could not make meaningful contributions and the new ball bowlers could not provide the breakthrough at the start of the innings.
England were still found wanting against spin. They have to sort this problem out if they want to be serious contenders. There is too much dependency on Morgan in the middle order. Rest of the batsmen should put their hands up and make contributions.
