Former captain Javed Miandad‘s future in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be decided on Thursday during the meeting of the managing committee.

Miandad has sent his resignation to the PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi leaving it up to him to decide his future.

“With a new chairman and a new managing committee now supervising cricket affairs they should decide what role I can play in Pakistan cricket,” Miandad said.

The former captain, who has been working as Director-General cricket in the PCB since 2008, has regularly complained about not being given proper powers and his experience not being utilized properly by the Board.

Miandad, who played 124 Tests, could be asked to handle the National Cricket Academy (NCA) or the domestic cricket operations as Sethi believes he can best serve Pakistan cricket on the field rather than by sitting in the office.
