Port Elizabeth, Feb.24 (ANI): Australian skipper Michael Clarke has candidly admitted that he is due for a big score after failing to pass 25 in his last eleven Test innings.
Clarke, who score 19 and one in the second Test loss to South Africa at the St. George's Park ground in Port Elizabeth, said he is very keen to end his poor form in Cape Town, where the series decider starts on Saturday.
Accepting that his team and he were experiencing a tough phase cricket-wise, Clarke was quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald, as saying that an innings of substance from him was around the corner.
He, however, joked that if national selectors were to drop a batsman on form to make way for Shane Watson, it might be him.
He said that his failure to score was not due to not working very hard on his game.
He claimed that he was timing the ball sweetly, but admitted that his shot selection has been extremely poor. (ANI)
